Help & Advice

Jeremy Corbyn Writing

Strict parliamentary code means I can only take up matters on your behalf if you live in Islington North, the constituency I represent in parliament.

If you’re unsure whether you live in my constituency, please enter your postcode into the search bar in this link.

If you have a personal issue, you need help with, my team and I may be able to help you.

If your issue relates to Islington Council, in the first instance, please contact the Council directly or one of your local ward councillors. As the MP I am independent from the council and am not responsible for the decisions they make.

Islington Council is responsible for:

  • Housing allocation and housing repairs
  • Rubbish collection, street cleaning and fly-tipping
  • Council Tax, and some benefits relating to council tax and housing benefits
  • Planning applications
  • Noise nuisance, public health and Anti-social behaviour (in an emergency or where a crime has been committed always contact the emergency services on 999)
  • Social Care and Children’s Services
  • Allocation of school places, SEND

You can contact Islington Council on 0207 527 4140

If you still want my help, please visit my contact page for more information on how to get in touch and arrange an appointment at one of my advice sessions.

Please note, I receive a very large volume of enquiries, and these are dealt with in order of urgency. Due to the volume of correspondence I am in receipt of, I must prioritise helping my constituents with personal matters over responding on political issues.
